Fall day the shimmering crystals of dew form a halo

The jacket passed by earlier by its owner waits on the

Decisions come slowly as the brain freezes in place and

No movement can be seen during the passing of time

Numbness descends like the flow of an iceberg until it

Reaches its destination and each toe starts to curl

A bleak stare at the frozen object a few feet away

With great effort a hand opens the door enters places a
