A SIRIUS ENCOUNTER ©

BOOK 1

Pilgrims Of The Stars ©

A truth exists in and in between the lines of A Sirius Encounter. Where the light exists, so does darkness. One prevails while the other fights to prevail. Those of the light seek to do what is right. Those of the darkness seek to take that light. Different paths are walked by all. Light when placed in a spectroscope shows all of the colors that exist in the color spectrum. Darkness absorbs all colors. Without light its intake becomes nothing, and it cannot exist.

When the Nephilim were cast out of the heavens, a precedent was set that is still in effect to this day. Darkness came into being, and it separated itself from the Light. The Nephilim had to have the Light to survive and since their tie to the great source of Light was gone, they have sought to control those who still have it. This story is about some of the events that have taken place in our universe up to our present day.

Even though it was twelve o'clock noon, it was dark. At rest on one of the many octopus looking arms was a spaceship nearing the completion of its final check. It had been there for over a month now as extensive preparations had been made for this daring voyage into outer space. The final countdown was underway.

What a great event this would be for those participating. Especially for the Dussart twins, Jim & Jay. It would be the first time they would be working together. They and the crew would be traveling to the other side of the galaxy.

Everyone on the mother planet, Sirius, were excited about this big event. Jim & Jay had been rivals almost all of their lives. Each had tried to surpass the other and had become well known for their rivalry and competitiveness. They both were perfectionists and the job that now lay ahead called for their skills, plus their driving need to succeed. One time sibling rivals, they now found themselves brought together on this mission as a team.

Jim was older by half an hour. Identical twins in more ways than one. Their mannerisms were alike as were there walk and talk. Both over six foot two, with light brown hair and blue eyes. They were twenty-five years old and the young women considered them very good looking and a good catch. But they had always put their job first in their lives and so it was now. It had been hard to leave all those pretty girls at the taxiport terminal, but for now the job that lay ahead of them was more important. Some of the girls had agreed, but there were those that didn't want them to leave for fear that something awful would happen to them. They agreed the situation on Sirius was getting bad, but for both of them to leave was too much. When the time came to decide what to do, the Dussart twins decided on their mission. It came first in their lives. For now anyway.

The taxi pod they were in slowly approached the docking platform of the spaceship. There was a look of sternness on their faces. This strange darkness that had come upon the planet had alarmed everyone. The realization of having to live without light showed on the faces of the citizens as they hurried, sometimes stumbling, in a frantic pace of going about their daily tasks. The darkness had also placed a real threat on the growing of food. Plus, many were becoming ill from the lack of sunshine.

The scientists had worked hard tryimg to find out why this darkness had happened. Jim's and Jay's exploratory work had eventually led to the preparation of this spacecraft's voyage to the other side of the galaxy.

Their work had earned them a place on the crew. They would try and find out what was causing this darkness, and to eradicate it so life could get back to normal on Sirius.

Jim and Jay had worked hard spending much time in space. They tracked and measured the dark force that had been placed around Sirius. There final conclusion was that the planet Maldek was the culprit. Maldek was on the other side of the galaxy, but the darkness that it was emitting was so powerful that it was engulfing the entire planet of Sirius.
