By Richard J.D. Regnier Dussart Workshop -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- All CD's are 100 Poems CD $25 + $5 S & H 665 MISTY MORN The light is elongated as it rises on the mist from the damp ground up into a cloud of sparkling jewels. A pair of bare feet gingerly touch each dew drop with their toes as they long for their way back home. A light comes on here, then there, as a mass of groggy people stir once more. The ritual of man going to work must be made each day until his days no longer caress his brow. The mist drifts by the windows as the naked glare of a light exposes its captors presence. Dew covered toes pause, then move off, leaving the light lonely and bleak in Its nothingness. Breath hanging in mid-air like a cloud of a smokers output of impure frozen crystals. Cold seeps into every nook and cranny of the soul as another day’s new beginning starts its trek. The ones at home will soon be at work, and the ones at work will soon be home, in their never ceasing cycle. The ones asleep will soon awake and the ones awake will soon sleep, some to wake no more. A knife like ray parts the mist and a new day consumes everything in sight as it moves along its dismal path. Shimmering like the waters of a stream the dampness wraps itself around its captive like a caressing lover. Then a hairy hand appears from nowhere and reaches down to retrieve its long sought prize laying still on the ground. Two bare feet retreat through the flattened dew drops as their owner, with paper in hand, returns to the kiss of warmth. --------------------------- LISTING OF POEMS 601. As I Pass 626.
