Gold Hill Is WhereYou Find It

Big Book  3  ©

This book contains drawings of all of the cabins in Gold Hill, Colorado. There were 88 cabins at the time I drew them. It took me 3 summers to finish them. I've added a couple of other drawings to this collection. One is a local church. It wasn’t long after my wife and I had arrived at our cabin in the summer of 1987 that I mentioned to her that I felt like I should draw all of the cabins in Gold Hill. She looked at me and said, "Well, go get a pencil and some paper and start drawing." I did and this book is the result of doing what she told me to do.       History

SOME HISTORY OF CABIN:

Ellen Romig was born in this cabin. The Boulder newspaper ran an article on it referring to it as the oldest cabin in Gold Hill but it's not. At one time there was a large shed connected to the rear of the cabin with a large barn behind it. Ellen told me that her daddy raised potatoes and turnips on their lots in town so they would have food in the winter.
